Background on iPod and iTunes. There are many people (maybe yourself included if you’re reading this article) who would prefer to use an iPod without having to use iTunes. Some run Linux as their operating system so iTunes is not an option. Others experience problems or interference with their iTunes from other programs on their computer. Still yet others just flat out don’t like iTunes.
