Registered voters in Davidson County can early vote now through Jan. 17 for the special election on two Metropolitan Charter amendments. Election Day is Jan. 22.
Cycling enthusiasts of all levels are invited to participate in a relay-style race for 80 laps (50 miles) on April 11, 2009. Visit http://www.harpethbikeclub.com/index.php/s80 for more information or to register for the event online.
Metro has contracted with Nashville-based EarthSavers to pilot a curbside recycling program for residents in the General Services District. Bellevue residents can now sign-up online for service to start in early 2009.
Nashville Teaching Fellows is now seeking applicants. The program is a partnership between Metro Schools and The New Teacher Project, a national non-profit being funded in Nashville by Mayor Karl Dean’s Education First Fund.
