Township Today Newsletter Date Added: 2008-09-03
Dear Residents;
The following Township Today newsletter is published by the Pennsylvania State Association of Townships.
The newsletter deals with the implications of a recent Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling, that affects all municipalities in the Commonwealth. From this time forward, road projects that previously were considered maintenance, will now require higher wages in the form of “Prevailing Wages”. This, in effect, increases the cost of most road paving projects in the Township.
Please refer to the article in the newsletter, and call your state representatives to complain about this court decision. The state legislature can amend current laws that will alleviate this problem.
