A trial is tentatively scheduled to start Monday for Daniel W. Heath and two co-defendants accused of running an investment fraud that targeted seniors.
Heath, who ran an investment firm that had offices in Brea and Hemet, has been awaiting trial in the Riverside County Jail along with his father, John W. Heath, and a former associate, Denis O'Brien, since 2004.
Heath and his co-defendants are accused of fraudulently persuading 1,600 investors, including many Orange County seniors, to invest $192 million. Very little of that money has been recovered.
