Forsyth County does a poor job of collecting child-support payments on behalf of parents, compared with other urban counties, leaving millions of dollars uncollected each year. So far this year, Forsyth's Department of Social Services has collected about 61 percent of the child-support payments owed each month. That is less than the collection goal of 71 percent set by the state. |
