Ever since Nancy Drew popped up on my reading horizon -- I was about 10, um, just a few years ago -- mysteries have been my favorite escape valve. But even I'm surprised by the explosion within the genre of paperbacks that cater to readers' hobbies and interests. Explosion? You bet.
