Public defenders, prosecutors, sheriff?s and defense attorneys across the state are concerned about a new law that will limit fees for defending poor people accused of crimes. Florida lawmakers have set up a new office to provide defense attorneys in cases where there are conflicts, but they want the job done for half the cost.
